The knowledge and expertise base that underpins Webwise began life in the UK, just as a new and exciting technological tool was taking off during the mid-1990’s. This ground breaking leap forward was called “email”, it travelled across something called the “Internet”, and it gave our founder, Brendon Upson, an idea.

One of the UK’s best tech-heads comes home . . .

From his London base, Brendon witnessed the birth and the growth of the very first Internet technology, from a front row seat, working on product development for some of the world’s biggest brands. After soaking up what he needed to know, he headed home to Australia and founded Webwise in 1997.

The bubble burst, then Webwise bloomed . . .

Following a number of years servicing contracts with city finance organisations and developing business consulting software products, the dot.com bubble burst in 2001, and Webwise had to recalibrate. We refocused on the mining and construction industries, and found a niche in delivering rewarding, tangible results, that could truly revolutionise the industry.
